REAL ESTATE HOME STYLES ON OLNEY

Ramblers - Very popular home style in the 1960s and 1970s. Requires a fairly large lot. So, Ramblers are rarely built these days. With the aging population, Ramblers (one story homes) are becomming popular again.

Split Level - 3/4 level homes with entrance on living room level. These homes were very popular during the 1960s and 1970s. They can be 3, 4 or even 5 levels with the 4th and 5th level below grade. May have integrated garage.

Split Foyer - Two level structures with primary living areas on upper level. Popular with builders since little to no excavation is required. Enter on foyer level, walk up to living area or down to storage or finished lower level. May have integrated garage.

Victorian - A true Colonial but most homes with two stories and a full porch, especially a wrap-around porch reminiscent of the early 100-150 year old real Victorian homes found in Montgomery County.

Cape Cod - A two story home with a front sloped roof. Usually with a first floor master bedroom and finished living space on level two.
